Everyday Delicious Abruzzo Recipes is not just a cookbook, but a cultural and gastronomic guide to savor a wonderful territory, perhaps starting in your own home.

It is inspired by a good friend of Delicious Italy called Mr. Antonino. One day he knocked on our door holding a handwritten manuscript full of recipes proposed by friends and family from Teramo to Francavilla and Vasto to L'Aquila.

For years this remained, quite literally, an 'idea nel cassetto' before a selection of these recipes was combined with those of our own much loved Nonna Annunziata from Pescara.

Together they are a genuine record of dishes people from the region actually cook in their kitchens, from classic seasonal recipes to the simplest of starters and dolci.

The book also lists where the typical food products of Abruzzo are made, 52 places of interest we think you should visit, together with a selection of wonderful annual festivals and local proverbs and only the Abruzzese could say them.
