A unique reproduction-process developed by Fujifilm enables the Reliefography technique,
combining the emotion of Van Gogh masterpieces with state-of-the-art technologies. It involves scanning of the original work of art with a multidimensional scanner and combines
two-dimensional data with three-dimensional data. The technique is brought about with the
dedication, passion and craftsmanship of experts at Fujifilm and Van Gogh Museum. Manual specialist handling and quality checks are required for the production of each Relievo™.
The RELIEVO process is unique because it exactly replicates size, colours, brightness and texture of original works, without any image distortion. Moreover, the RELIEVOs include a reproduction of the back of the painting – together with all labels that were added over the years – and a frame. Reliefography is driven by the vision of experts from both Fujifilm and the Van Gogh Museum, who have dedicated their knowledge, energy, craftsmanship and passion in order to achieve the best fine art reproductions ever seen.
